Hawkes Bay Turning Collaboration 2023

This year we shared the school with young cricketers from various schools partaking in their summer holiday long tournament. There were so many of them that the cooks could not have them sharing the dining hall with us.

This year 23 of us contributed to the production of 98 items – once again a quite different look to previous years – not much driftwood and a bunch of totara fence battens from a local farm.

Roger and his committee set us three projects: A well decorated bowl; something made from one fence batten; and a Gonk or Troll.

Thanks to Roger and Hawkes Bay Club members for their setup work and cleaning up after us. After all that they have invited us to be there again next year.
